pdf files?

Any predictions as to how widespread Adobe Acrobat readers for pdf files
will become? We have some housing guide publishers who would have a much
easier time producing pdf files than producing .gif files, and my
understanding is that the Adobe files also will let users do more with
them, including printing and rescaling.

However, I don't want to put up an application that requires an Adobe
Acrobat reader if such a reader doesn't come standard with the browser.
Even if we assume that Netscape users all go out and get the reader, I
still worry about NetCruiser, Prodigy, AOL's InternetWorks, etc.

Is Adobe going to become a standard tool for Web browsers, or remain a
relatively rare add-on?
